Crock Pot Sunday

With all the rain and cold outside, I decided today would be a crock pot Sunday. Not sure what I will fill it with just yet but I am working on my decision. Probably a pot full of beans. Some good homemade cornbread would also be good. Melted butter on the hot cornbread, I could make a meal on just cornbread. What about you? Plans for today? Whatever is up in your world, enjoy the moments. I am enjoying every raindrop that hits the roof. And so are the birds as they gather at the feeder.

You're very lucky to be getting rain today, we have a typical February day here, and its cold. I'm not using the crockpot this Sunday, but I probably will next Sunday. Next weekend is Family Day Weekend, with the Family Day Holiday falling on the Monday. We will be going down to our son and daughter-in-law's place and I'll bring super in the slow cooker.

That sounds so cozy and delicious. I had planned to bake chicken and have those beans I cooked yesterday, but we ended up going to Dairy Queen after church with my aunt, uncle, cousin, and his son.

@CarolDM Enjoy your beans and cornbread! I have an almost overwhelming desire to make a chocolate cobbler. But it's so full of fat grams and calories and I won't be able to not overindulge if I make it.

I hope you enjoy whatever you make! I hung out with my nephew all day, and did all the dishes and laundry that needed to be done, plus took out the trash and went for a walk to the store. Am just now getting to relax with him gone. no idea about dinner.

Here in my country now is nearly half past three so I don't have any plans than to stay in myLot for a while and then cook at 5 pm maybe fried some fish and make a mix vegetable soup with it for tonight.

We got 6 inches of snow so far....so it is a mostly stay in day for us (although my mom picked us up for a few hours). Hope you enjoyed your crock pot meal! not sure what will be for dinner here.

Beans and corn bread sound great yum i love to hear the sound of rain hitting a tin roof it puts me at peace and too sleep good and i love the sound of birds chirping ..i hear them alot makes me know spring is near ..there so pretty to.watch .. When i go to McDonald's the bird will fly up.to your car and everybody feeds then usualy french fries they are such cute little creatures.. I love the blue ones :)
