Just across the Nile River from Cairo are the three Great Pyramids of Giza. They are really almost unimaginable, that such huge blocks of stone could have been carved from the rock quarry around them, then taken to the building site, then paced together without cement to form a such a great structure Near one of the pyramids is the Sphinx..

@JWMILLER This is what I think, I am pretty sure that in some countries people are still treated like slaves.

I can't imagine how hard it was for those rock blocks to be moved and stacked. Love the image you used.

Pyramids are a fascination, one of the wonders for sure. They might have had alien influence, help, I think. Awe-inspiring, and you are lucky to see them with your own eyes - siva

Amazing architecture! The great pyramid was one of the tallest man made building for centuries. It was a resting place for the Pharaoh and his Queen. There were three chambers one for all his treasures. Pretty cool stuff
