We've booked an apartment in Paris

We will be part of a group of eight who will be flying to Paris early in May. We will stay two nights in Paris before taking a train to Dompierre sur Besbre to board a house-boat. Accommodation in Paris is incredibly expensive. At least it seems so to us but we are now booked in to an airbnb close to Notre Dame. I’ll add the link to the apartment.
It looks a very luxurious place. Each couple will have a bedroom with ensuite but we’ll also have some lovely sitting areas. We will be able to get our own coffee or tea whenever we want without paying a fortune and there are dozens of eating-houses nearby. As we are in Paris we will feel obliged to have some meals in cafes and/or restaurants. Then, we’ll be able to have a quiet drink together before retiring to, hopefully, sleep soundly.
The photo is of umbrellas in the French city of Amiens.
Entire home/apt in Paris, France. Très près de la Cathedrale Notre-Dame, dans le quartier le plus vieux de Paris, le quartier latin, un appartement au rez de chaussée totalement rén...

@WiseGhots It's much more luxurious than any of our own homes.

We have been to Paris before and saw some of the sights. I speak enough French to get by but nearly everyone can speak English. They like you to start off in French but then they get sick of waiting for you to find the words so they start speaking English.

We often rent a house or apartment when we are in England, we have never done it in Paris. We usually stay in a small hotel near the Madeleine which we love. I think it is a good idea with the 8 people to have a common area together.

@JudyEv Yes that is always nice, we like to play dominos or cards so having a living room is great for us.

@DocAndersen You're making me impatient! We would stop in some little town and go into a shop and the delicatessen section would be 100 yards long (well, maybe not quite that long) with so much choice of all these wonderful foods. Now I'm salivating.

@JudyEv We did baguettes as we walked around, and we wandered into a market and ate olives that were beyond amazing!

Oh I guess you can't wait for May to come so you will be on that flight to Paris. I wonder, Do any of the people getting away speak French?

@jvicentevalera Even if you don't speak French you'd be okay without an interpreter. If you get well away from the main cities not so many speak English but in the tourist areas there are plenty who speak English.

@JudyEv Oh cool, I said it because I guess once you're in France you will need a French interpreter, won't you? So it'd be nice if any of you handle the language, but I guess that person is you!
