Need some cream in your strange brew?

Can you say psychedelic 60s about this one? There is blues influence by vocalist Eric Clapton who with co-writers Felix Pappalardi and Gail Collins adapted “Strange Brew” from traditional blues number “Lawdy Mama.” Pappalardi later became lead singer and bassist for Mountain of “Mississippi Queen” fame whose partial hearing loss caused retirement. Wife Collins killed him in 1983.
Considered one of Cream’s greatest hits, “Strange Brew” appears on the “Disraeli Gears” album produced by Pappalardi. The single went uncharted in the US and UK #17. Cream is the legendary trio of Claption, bassist Jack Bruce and drummer Ginger Baker.
