Just Not Into It Here

This month I am just not into it. I think it happens to all of us from time to time.. I am just not that into MyLot. And of course my lack of activity probably shows since otherwise I am usually pretty fairly active around here. But I am just in one of those MyLot funks that happens from time to time. I will come around... Things will come back around... If I am distant, it's not you. It's me. But I am trying. Maybe I just need a break from it. So much more important to do than spend time here I guess and while the money is nice, it's a pittance at the end of the day. Why I am even writing this post to say this is anyone's guess. Does it really matter in the end?

Do you need a psychologist? Maybe Mr @TheHorse can help you.

We've already been in touch. I am charging him 1,000x my normal rate. Cha-ching.

Sure it matters in the end. It lets me know I'm not alone feeling like that.

We all have our days...and sometimes they go on for weeks or even months.

It's still kinda here as we speak, but slowly but surely I am finding myself getting back into a groove.

All interaction for me through March. I am trying. It's getting easier. I think February provided a much needed break from the site.

at least here at mylot we're not required to log in every day to retain our membership. we're allowed to come and go as we please.

We all write the "I am getting tired of this place" discussion. Just take a break, we all do, and then come back refreshed and ready to mylot again. I've been gone for months at a time in the past.

You mean does it even matter whether you let us in on your winter doldrums or not? I think it's fine so those that you visit with don't worry. While you're taking a break already it's a good time to try to get other things done that have been waiting on you and then maybe you'll be ready to get involved once again.

I guess it doesn't matter a lot but I for one would miss you if you were gone too long.

I think most of us experience periods of little enthusiasm for the site.

When this becomes a chore it is a good thing to step away and recharge those batteries. There is nothing wrong with that, consider it a little vacation. There is a difference in being temporarily bored with something and just being bored. For me, I enjoy doing many different hobbies and My Lot is just one of many. I mean, no one is retiring off the earning here, lol So chill, focus on your other passions for although we all suffer from many different emotions from time to time, life itself is interesting not boring.... Here's an interesting perspective from Viggo Mortensen - "There's no excuse to be bored. Sad, yes. Angry, yes. Depressed, yes. Crazy, yes. But there's no excuse for boredom, ever."

Sorry to hear you are going through that, but I definitely understand! I haven't gone through that yet, but only been here a short while.
