As Busy as a Bee

As I read a few posts this morning I couldn't help notice how many people wrote about how busy their lives are. It seems we're all running around in a frenzy, doing this and doing that, without much attention to quiet times. Many of us write of being tired.
I decided to seek out images that might inspire a post on being busy and received a shock. A search for busy on my favourite image site, Pixabay, brought up mostly images of computers and phones. Nearly all the images related to technology.
When I scrolled further down a more natural order of busyness came into view, including the lovely bee above - a truly busy creature. I couldn't help think how different our society is from that bee, as we fill our days with activities that keep us busy but could easily be reduced without too much effect on our lifestyles.
Are we all wearing ourselves out unnecessarily? How busy have you been today? As busy as a bee?

I may have hectic weeks and days but I make sure I have some me time as well. So whenever my friend actually asks me if I'm tried, my answer is always no.

Yes, choice is the important factor. I do tend to get a bit carried away with enthusiasm though but some of the posts I've read about being busy have been about doing the housework and racing from one shop to another. Not important elements of my life

I would have to say yes I have. Our driveway is now clear of snow and I met another neighbour who told us all about the neighbourhood!!

People are incessantly busy, busy and mortified, frantic, and not only that, but they also boast of being busy, and judge lazy those who are not in the same agony.
Today I have been busy, yes, but I have also taken time to walk, talk with the people around me and with the Father GOD.
I have worked but I have also disconnected from work between one moment and another.
I have been doing things but I have also rested.

My busier times are in warmer weather when I'm working two jobs. This coming summer will be a bit different as I'm planning on getting my second knee replaced in June. I've put away some things that took a lot of my time and now I'm trying to get some much-needed tasks done before the end of the month.

Made me think of this song...
I would appreciate a slower pace, but we tend to try to do too much even when we're on vacation.
