There was a rule in the good old myLot where only those who got 200 or more activities could start using smilies but not more than 2 at a time See how generous myLot has now become Anyone, anytime, any number of times smilies can be used. . But some here never use those smilies in their activities and I wonder why.

I only use them occasionally, so they do not lose their novelty for me.

I never use in my discussions, but I use emojis in my comments. I missed my milestone of 200000 activities, I wanted to take a snapshot, but I was already over when I noticed.

What a shame. That was indeed a milestone but we are not supposed to post milestones here, sadly

@LadyDuck No one knows why some discussions stay and others get deleted. I used to get offended with this earlier but have developed a thick skin. I know who reports my discussions. I too have reported their discussions which have been deleted (lol)

@allknowing This is true, even if I read discussion every day that are "milestone", not to mention birthday, all those are against the guidelines. I think I am the only one who reached 200000 here.

I like getting the opportunity to use some of the emijo things that I don't usually use. Some of them I don't even know what they mean.

I remember how things were in the past. I was excited when I was able to use smileys for the first time I use some of them pretty often, and some of them I never use at all.

@allknowing Yes, it was nice when we were finally able to use them. We weren't able to copy and paste and in the beginning either, but I don't remember how many posts we had to write before we were able to copy and paste.

@Porcospino Interesting is it not - not being able to copy/paste? Everything comes back and then we had the Best Response, star rating - in other words it had more substance.

@JWMILLER personally I probably miss things on the old site that many other members don't Back then we had a way less active admin, loads of "real" trolls on weekends when admin wasn't about and some genuinely knock down drag out debates. By real trolls I mean people who specifically came to trigger debate on certain issues...they'd be quite witty and it'd be a lot of fun not the nasty type trolls who come to sites just to cause trouble. Back then we had categories to put our discussions in such as hobbies, tv etc...there was a star system and so much other stuff...some good and some bad. Generally people who didn't want a real debate stayed in certain categories and the real wild west was in religion and politics I do still like this site and will always come back to it as I have a few friends here but, in my opinion, it has got a little too tame for my taste.
