How to increase traffic to your website

Want to know how to increase your website traffic by 3,000%? Yes, folks, that is three thousand percent. You start an ‘ethical clothing’ factory in Cambodia and employ young women rescued from human traffickers. You choose a profit-for-purpose business model. Over time, you find you are employing over 100 people. You choose to make jeans because they can be worn over and over as opposed to something like a T-shirt. It takes two years for the women to learn to make jeans from the 25 components. Then you find out that the Duchess of Sussex (that’s Meghan) has worn a pair of your jeans on her tour of Australia. Once this is confirmed and others find out, THAT’S when Instagram, Twitter and the rest go crazy as people clamour to buy the same jeans as Meghan. While that’s great I can’t understand why people are like this – they have to have what some celebrity is wearing but it is what it is. The photo is of a young Prince Charles when he visited Esperance in Western Australia.

I have never been interested in wearing what celebrities are wearing. I think there is quite a lot of clothing in the world and people should think about how to get clothing to those who really need it but cannot buy any.

I agree with you. It's good that this is a company that is doing so much good what with teaching young women skills that will benefit them.

She worn out a pair of jeans? I thought she would have changed her clothing a bit more often being a "royal", I am disappointed.

@JudyEv Yes I was joking, but I am surprised that she wore jeans, I wonder what the Queen thinks about married women wearing jeans.

I'm not sure if you are joking. I only said she wore a pair of jeans, not wore them out.

@LadyDuck The poor old Queen has no doubt had to get used to a lot of things with all these bright young people becoming part of the 'family'.

Hmmm, so are there shops like that in Cambodia? The media here colors all those kinds of shops as exploiting cheap labor. Too bad the media won't tell the honest truth.

Sometimes I think the media forgets that what is cheap to us(in the USA) may very well be a good job there @JudyEv the economy is so different.

@rebelann I honestly think these women are getting a reasonable wage for their country - and don't forget they've been rescued from human traffickers and are being taught a trade. That surely counts for something.

Quite probably some are exploiting cheap labour but I guess there a few trying to do some good as well. And maybe the jeans are mostly sold online. I don't really know.

@JudyEv It is always good to learn to sew even if it is only for your own life. I use to make a lot of my own clothes since I was about 12 years old. Many of my aunts and my mom sewed a lot. Some of them actually made wedding dresses. I use to sew something to wear to school instead of ironing something. Looking back that was kind of dumb as I had to iron it before wearing it anyway.

True. Imagine - 25 pieces. But it's good that they are rescuing these girls and teaching them a trade.

I don't understand it either. Magazines put photos of women in their $5,000 wardrobe and put similar $100 next to them to "look" like them for less. I rather do my own look.

@JudyEv I like my own styles even if it seems outdated. I wore maxi dresses and skirts for years since felt better with my arthritis. On good pain days I wear jeans and a top. Nothing fancy. No fancy shoes. Comfort means more to me than being stylish.

Me too. Who wants to look like someone else? Do they say 'it didn't cost me $5,000 - just $100'? I mean to say, what's the point?

So true. Get a celebrity to endorse you, and you are set for life. Good picture of the prince. Was this pre-Princess Diane? It looks like it could be.

That's true. It is what it is. Whenever my son tells me how people die because they were buying a particular shoe endorsed by a very popular celebrity, I just couldn't imagine how crazy they can be for risking their lives in queue and fighting with others just to get that shoe.

I don't get the whole 'copy a celebrity' thing either - but given that lots of people do do that, it's good that the Royals are putting some thought into what they wear and choosing ethical suppliers.
