Since last many years, We used to roam with just a single jacket or sweater or sometimes just in shirt during day time by Mid February. However, this time of sun comes out one day, we also get sudden rains the next day and it becomes colder again. In fact, we also had cold winds. So the cold weather continues which reminds me of the winters if way back - 2003 and a bit of 2008. In a way it is good but cannot say how the summers would be.

The weather certainly seems to have changed, doesn't it?

@JudyEv Yes it is much more erratic. Back in early 1990s, summers, rainy season and winters seemed to follow some regular patterns. However, now the deviations and surprises are too many. And extremes are increasing.

@JudyEv yes I know that parts of Australia have been having extremely hot weather. I hope this year's Australian Open went well without major inconvenience to the players.

@JudyEv but in many places, local people are affected.

February is always cold here. You wrote that you used to be able to wear a sweater or a jacket in February. That sounds great to me. Unfortunately the Danish winter has already been too cold for that. I remember a few times when I was able to wear a t-shirt in March, but it doesn't happen every year.

@Porcospino I think in Denmark you would be needing jackets and sweaters till March end? right?

@Porcospino yes minor fluctuations are always there. I recall one of the first five days of April 2015. It had rained so heavily and unexpectedly that day that it became very cold, and I had to use a jacket for a few hours!

February is a cold month here. This year we are lucky, it's cold but sunny.

I wish to have more rain in my part of the world (so that I don't have to water the gardens) but other than that, except for a bit of cold weather, we are fine here (too much of rain can be a nuisance really).

It is interesting how weather patterns can repeat itself years later. I have had a mild winter compared to last year.

@Sheali and grey clouds on a winter day make us even more depressed.
