Give Up? Number of Oil Lamps

I wrote a post a couple days ago on my collection of oil lamps. Only one person got close to the number, off by one. I admit, I even had trouble with the number when I counted them on the pictures. Two of them got counted twice.
I can't tell you how long ago I began collecting oil lamps, but it's been quite a while and I'm always adding to it.
So, the number of oil lamps in the pictures is 22. There are 10 in my bedroom and 12 in the living room. If you missed it, the lantern is an oil lamp. I got it as a Christmas present several years ago.
What do you collect? Thanks for reading.

Do you ever use any of them? I am not collecting anything right now, but have collected bottles and decanters in the past, I do have a few bottles here I particularly like. I also once collected glasses and matchbooks.

Quite an impressive collection! I was never a big collector of things growing up but I do have a collection of baseball trading cards. Unfortunately, my Mom threw out all of my older cards when I was away at college

@just4him Yes, I forgive Mom, I mean who knew baseball cards would become so valuable? Our family has some Norman Rockwell plates which might be worth a couple of bucks.

wow. I only have four oil lamps. Two are on my living room wall. Two are in the pantry. I used to collect porcelain barbie dolls. When I was little, I collected magazines and stamps.

You're counting a couple of them twice. I have two pictures - a close up of the ones on my hutch dresser, and a picture encompassing all of them, and two pictures of the coffee table and window seat. That's probably where you got the extra lamps. There's 22.

These days I don't collect anything. I would encourage you to be wise and always have enough oil as you don't want to run out.

LOL... that reminds me of when I was a kid and my grandparents gave each child a plot of land on their property. We had a two room "cabin" with no electricity... It was so cozy at night when the lights came from the oil lamps. Gee... haven't thought of that in years!!!

Yes, that can help see the difference in the pictures.
