Green Mangoes Anyone?

Green on the outside but sweet and crunchy on the inside. This is how I would describe the mangoes given by my friend this morning. She spared me some few pieces before selling the rest. I am actually very choosy when it comes to eating green mangoes because I prefer ripe mangoes, but this one is just so delicious, it's somewhat sweet with some sour taste and very crunchy and juicy. Wanna have a bite? Are you fond of eating green mangoes?

I don't know where to find that "sweet" taste on a mango like that... All I can taste is sour and face-warping sourness... Even my office mates say that it's sweet... but not me!

@Dextoi i'm the same way with anything spicy/hot. everyone will say it's not, or it's very mild, but for me it's too much.

@florelway haha... that's what they said! And I always end up with a sour face... It must be because my heightened taste sensitivity

@Dextoi , but it is sweet. I am not actually fond of unripe mangoes but this one is one variety that it very good, the peel keeps the color green even if ripened. Ii swear no face-warping sourness

What's the best dip for you? Soysauce with sugar is fine with me.

i also like this variety of mangoes, too. they're small with green skin but yellow and crunchy inside. i never liked the big greenish white sour one. when we were kids, the dip was patis (fish sauce) with sugar (mixed to become a paste)
