I can not do anything, but I can do something

I can not do anything to change what I did wrong or well in the past, I can not reverse the order of yesterday's events, what I did was done and can not be changed, can not be improved, nothing can be done. What was done and undone is in the past and will remain there. But what is also true is that today if something can be done, decisions can be made and actions can be taken that will result in a different outcome. Do you agree or disagree with these judgments? What can you say about it?

Yes I totally agree with this, we can decide what to do next but can't change anything we did in the past, I think we should all think twice before doing something we might regret in the future and consider the consequences before we do anything. As you say, today we can make our own decisions.

Right, it is desirable that our decisions be ours, although it is not wrong to have some help from someone who loves us if we have any doubt, the best is God's help if we are believers. And yes, it is wise to consider that our actions as a result of the decisions taken have consequences. Among my previous discussions there is one that is titled "They are not sacrifices, they are decisions". I invite you to see it.

If we did things that weren't the best, we can make some amends and apologize and not repeat mistakes. What do you think?

Ah, yes, of course, in that context I completely agree with you, and as believers, people of God, it must be done, but not with the sole intention of one to amend, but to do something to alleviate the damage caused to the other or other persons, in case the actions were related to discrepancies or other matter of personal relationships.

You can learn something in the past. We can change things in the future.

Well, I think we can change it in the present, make decisions in the present that lead to a different and better outcome in the future to the one that is already in the present by the decisions and actions of the past. I explain?

We can't change our past, but we can change our future by changing today.

It is as simple as that, and with the help of God and His Word it becomes easier to do.

Of course, we can alleviate a little the results of the actions we do, not the actions, if we have noticed, we can always do something to alleviate the situation, clean up if we mess up, repair if we break something or put a new article, we apologize if we offend or ask for forgiveness with the promise not to do it again ... I also agree with that.

The past lives under clouds, until you let the sunshine shine through to it again.
If I am holding onto pain, and wrong ways of thinking, that were obtained/created in the past, often, I can revisit the past, in my mind, through hypnosis, or therapy, and change those ways of thinking, and finally let go of the pain, that is still haunting me from the past. The past can then be brought into the present, and osmosed into it to heal it. In this way, the past can therefore at times affect the present, in a way, that the present cannot affect itself. Of course, time itself never changes, only the experiences which took place within that time can be looked at differently. Time then is largely irrelevant. We have experiences, learn from them, and move on. Everything can be changed, added to, or seen differently then. The truth of what has happened, the essential happening, cannot be changed though. It is an event in the life-book of God for eternity. Footnotes, and comments, can still be added to each past event though, either by yourself, or by God. @karibe Yes, we are agreed on that. God forgives all through his Love, Mercy, and Grace. Nothing can be left unforgiven, if we ask God for his forgiveness.

In all this, I am completely convinced and my conviction is based on the Love, Mercy and Grace of God manifested in the world and in His Holy Word in the revealed Bible, that the past, the present and the future and all that Man caused, causes and can cause as a result of the practice of sin, God can heal him, only He has that power of healing and salvation.

@karibe I think in our personal lives we can change things and not do the same thing over and over again but things going on in the world is that we have to work together to solve the problems but that is hot the case and too many judgments and not listening to what people or countries are really saying.

I agree with you, that is correct. We should not listen to the negatives related to failure. Do not listen to negative discourse and failure.
