Do you have garden lizards in your garden?

Good morning/night friends. Have you seen a garden lizard? Today when I went out to feed my stray pets, I saw Blakie, staring at something instead of eating. When I turned back and looked in my garden, I was disgusted to see a huge garden lizard. It's face was red and had a long tail.. They are supposed to be very poisonous. I have seen 1 or 2 garden lizards before also but I always use a spray to keep them out but that spray is ,meant for mosquitoes not lizards. Do you have garden lizards in your garden? Do you know any means of keeping them away from your garden?

We have what we call blue long tailed skinks. They are not bad because they eat other small bugs but they love the sun in the summer because it’s mating season during those times. They are supper pretty when you see and they are fast.

Ok.. These also eat insects, but I keep insects away by using neem water and these are not good looking at all..

@Sheali I use mint in our garden but we live near the woods so we have a lot of natural animals and lizards are one of them. I don’t try to harm them we just live with them they are not doing anything to my garden. Mint is a natural animal replant as well as certain bugs.

Since I am living near the brook, I haven't seen them step into our backyards. I am sure they are lurking around somewhere there.

I have not seen a garden lizard for long time. They are not present the place where I live now. In our native there are plenty of such reptiles available. I really appreciate their ability to change the colour according to the situation. But small lizard, which are usually seen near tube lights are common here.

i do see them occasionally but not happy to be around them. We have the house lizards that are friendly.
She is black and other lizards do not befriend her. I have named her Lily. After trying out many things I finally gave her biscuits and she seems to like bis...

@Sheali I hope these lizards don't bring any harm towards you or the animals. We don't see many lizards where we live. Maybe more near bush-land yeah. I see little small lizards here and there and during the very hot weather, you might see a bobtail lizard or a blue tongue lizard.

@Sheali So oddly enough! This morning I had a shower....I opened the shower doors to get out....and as I stepped out something fell onto the floor. It was a little lizard! I couldn't believe it! I thought of this post straight away! It was so weird because I answered your post saying that I don't see many around here and BOOM there is one in our bathroom lol So strange!

They don't hbarm us but they are poisonous.. If we go to the garden and by mistake if they fall on us, then instinctively they will bite us

I used to spot them regularly in my mom's garden. Luckily I do not have them in my terrace garden. I am petrified of them.
