I was being so strong...

but I just couldn't help myself. I've resisted sweets for over a week, but today the temptation was too much to overcome. Seeing the half bag of chocolate chips in the fridge pushed me over the edge. Don't judge me. The chopped pecans in the freezer begged me to add them to the batter. What else could I have done? It was unpremeditated, I tell ya. A crime of passion. Now the chocolate chip cookies are cooling, I pigged out on several (oh, okay, more than several) and I'm miserable. But it was worth it.

I sure hope so. I had lost a couple of pounds and now I've probably gained five.

Don't be miserable. Just start again with restricting yourself or whatever you were doing. You're still a good person! :)

Thanks, Judy! I wondered why my home made cookies don't stay fresh as long as the store bought ones, then I realized that mine don't have all those preservatives.

if it had been me I wouldn't have bothered making cookies. I would have just eaten the chocolate chips and pecans a la carte.

I actually considered that! But I knew the cookies would be warm and gooey.

@1creekgirl When I bake cookies it's usually with the intention of being "good" and not eating any myself...it rarely works out that way .

@SophiaMorros I think once I stuff myself, then I feel sick and can resist a little better after that.

Life really is too short to not splurge on cookies once in a while.

I would love a pan of hot chocolate chip cookies, with pecans. Baking bothers Tony`s breathing so I have not baked in over a year.

It is alright to have such "violations" in rare times, but be sure to drink plenty of water.

Come winter time I have no willpower when it comes to sweets. Can't wait for Spring which will motivate me to eat less and exercise more.

If you don't eat many sweets this isn't a problem.
