Betting games: Do you like them?

Who doesn't like extra money, right?
One of my neighbors won $250,00 in a simple lottery game. He had no intention of playing and he said he only did this at the insistence of the cashier who was attending. So, he spent less than $2,00 and earned almost 250 times more... Great, isn't it?
Well, I agree. This is great, but for personal reasons I do not like this way of making money. If one day I have to win or get rich, it will be working a lot.

I don't buy lottery tickets, but I bet on the horse track sometimes (only small amount like $3) Because I always bet small amounts I only win small amounts. I think I won about $10 once. I am not willing to bet more than a small amount, so I am never going to win a lot of money on the horse track. I am not really gambler, but my father used to work at the horse track, and I have many happy memories from that place.

@WiseGhots Yes, you are right. I don't do it for the money, I just like the atmosphere at the place and I have happy memories from the past.

Many adhere to a quick rich scheme, I sometimes bet in the lotto, if I don't win at least you are giving something for charity.

That was a good move. I usually don´t bet on anything that requires spending money. Like you, I prefer to obtain money by working. I know from experience that a person who engages in betting games ends up spending more money than the one he or she is going to obtain from the betting activity

My mother likes doing the lottery. She only won a few dollars. I used to play blackjack games for free, but I don't do them anymore.

Seriously, I don't even play gazillion-dollar lotteries. I'd rather take the $20 bucks I'd spend weekly and stick it in the bank. In a year that's over $1,000. I win!
