Been up since 4am So i live in am elderly or disabled apartment complex here we have a alarm system that we can use if we fall or get hurt we have a. Cord we can pull and it will go off outside our door we have a light that will light up telling us whose apartment it is ..so if your hurt other people will know..ive only lived here about 3 months and so i dont know everybody just yet.. So at 408 am this morning i heard the buzzer go off it was so loud ..i looked out my window to see the light lit up in the building across from ours ..it kept buzzing and i was thinking i know other people in that building have to hear this why is no one going over there ..and i kept waiting wondering what i could do and a few minutes later i heard the guys down stairs in our building talking and i watched them walk over there they have lived here a Long time and know everybody so they knocked on the door of the person and no answer so they knocked on the door of the guy across they hall and got him up i guess he was related im.not sure how he slept thru this and then finaly another neighbor came out and after awhile of trying to get in and getting no.answer ..they called the cops who came and they couldn't get anyone to respond so they ended up kicking the door in to go.in see. Then i heard them call an ambulance so i knew someone was hurt but at least ok .. So the ambulance got here quick and got the guy in an ambulance and i hope he will be ok ..that was the first time i had ever saw police kick a door in .. But i was more amazed that no one in that building heard it or got up ..the people above them.still weren't up and i guess slept thru it all.. I am so glad we have good neighbors in our building ..dave he is always the one here that is first to try and help other.. He told me when i first moved in they had alot of people that have died here since hes been here and since I have been here we had one die my neighbor ..so it's scary when i hear that cord go off in the middle of the night. But even more scary when your not sure what to do ..back home we lived in the same set up with the alarms and i knew everyine there i lived there 5 years and it was me who.was always the one to make sure they were ok .. So im thankful that Dave and Floyd came to the rescue ... Or i would have went ..makes me wonder if that building had a fire ..as sound sleepers as they are it may be hard to get everyone out.. Anyhow i decided by time everything was over i was wide away and not going back to bed so started my day at 408 am . Correction, i did finaly go back to sleep around 530.am
