Someone Bought Ingredients Yesterday to Make Leprechaun Popcorn: /Today's Update

I'm off sweets and most popcorn for now, so I won't be making this, but I may want to make it in the future, so I decide to share it here and then I'd know where to find it when I'm ready. They were using the chicka chicka boom popcorn for this, but you can probably use any type. Plus they bought green M&M's and some green candy melts. The recipe I'm showing here, of which I've never seen before, also includes white candy melts and St. Patty's sprinkles. It looks like there are many recipes on the web and the customer found hers on Pinterest, but when I looked there I decided I didn't want to explore everyone's page to find the correct one, so I googled it instead. There are several different recipes listed too and it looks like you can add just about anything you want if you don't want to use just popcorn. I have yet to have grandkids, but they may be coming in the next five year so I may want something like this at that time. Have any of you ever made this recipe or anything similar to it? ~~~~ I thought I'd talk a bit about today. I went to my doctor early, just after nine am which meant that I had to get up early to get ready and write down my list of questions. I discussed exercises I can do to strengthen my abs and back and eliminate the need to use canes until my knee replacement. I went for my wellness checkup to comply for my insurance even though my insurance doesn't pay for me going to him anymore. Most are expecting a wintry mix anytime between 4-7 pm tonight, I'm praying that it's only snow and no more ice or rain that will become ice not long after since it's cold out there. I should, though, go out and put on my tarp just in case we get something nasty. / I did that at 6:30 after already getting a bit of ice. I'm including a picture of my windshield of my car to show that the wiper on the drivers side is visible with the other one hidden. The photo on the left I took earlier from inside the house. I discovered where I had the arrow was the arm to the wiper which sits right under the one that is showing as you can now see better in the current image. It's below the hood and that's the one that was encased in three inches of ice a week or so ago. And, I should get my bookkeeping started for an hour or so as I'll be behind soon if I don't. I still have to finish what's due by the end of the month for the state business taxes and then finish inputting my expenses for last year and updating the books from January of this year while it's fresher in my memory.

I hope you are not going to have ice or freezing rains, the temperature is going to drop here in the next few days, but not to a freezing point.

@MarshaMusselman We seriously need rain, we almost had no rain at all during this winter.

@LadyDuck There was a lot of rain off the coast to the west yesterday, I thought maybe some would make it that far. I've never paid attention to that before, though, so I don't know where all it goes.

Maybe your fruit trees there still have a chance if the weather stays above the freezing point. We did get some ice yesterday, but today with the sun it's already melting a lot of it. There's still a lot to go. We may get warmer temps come the weekend, but if it just melts and sits there without running off, it will freeze when the weather drops each night. Not sure whether it will be much better or not. Time will tell.

It's been a while since I had popcorn. It sounds interesting. Putting a tarp on your car sounds like an excellent idea. I hope you don't get a bad wintry mix. I hope everything went well with the doctor and your bookkeeping.

Everything with the doctor went fine. I discussed with him me getting a permission slip to have one or two canes at work. But the last time I needed a slip for that I was told not to come back in until it wasn't needed any longer. I'm hoping that won't be an issue again since even the secretary used to use a cane, but we will see. I also discussed how long the doctor thinks my husband would have to wait before he'd be okayed from the government to get disability benefits and he thought it should go right through especially since my husband has been trying to work for the last ten years even with a prosthetic. If I can't work if I use the canes, then I'll need to pray that my back behaves so I can walk more easily to and from my lane while working. I've not begun any bookkeeping as yet. I hope to start soon.

@just4him I did force myself to do a little bookkeeping and hope to work on more sometime today. I will visit my mom about one pm and take my employee out to do one to three jobs after I return home again. When my daughter returned home around eight pm there was no ice, but when my husband got out of work he almost fell in the parking lot. It's sunny today, so a lot is already melted. It's only where we still have ice that it's slippery and we can see that, hopefully.

@MarshaMusselman I hope he gives you the okay for the canes and your work accepts it. Good luck with the disability for your husband. At least he has a paper trail that will help with getting his disability.

That is awful your insurance wants you to go to the checkups but won't pay for it My windshield wiper is half broke off so it flaps when I drive. When I was at Walmart Friday I looked in the book they have there and they don't have my van listed . I will have to get one in town here which is 3 times the cost.

@MarshaMusselman I haven't had any more problems with dandruff but thank you for letting me know what it is called. I will tell my boyfriend as he gets it really bad in the winter. @Courtlynn is Nizoral what you use?

Most people will get a new provider in the plan when their current one doesn't accept the plan offered by their jobs. The insurance has no problem if providers want to apply to carry their insurance. The doctor goes through a service and leaves it up to them to decide which insurance plans they will cover. I could end up finding out that the service ended up getting the plan after all, but it's too soon to tell. I fully expected to have to pay for the work done in January but the bill waaasn'tt bback yett. (this is my computeer, it decciddddddddded to add more letters, as it likes to do out of the bllue for no apparaant reason) I got the name of the hair product I mentioned elsewhere. Nizoral it runs, in our store about 15.00, but once you start using it you won't need it as often. (Now, it looks like my keyboard is back under control, but I don't want to jinx it by fixing the above just yet. Sorry)

For those that enjoy incorporating the different 'holiday's or events into their child's life it might be easier than buying clothing or jewelry or whatever they're selling these days for each child, that's for sure.

The popcorn sounds different and tasty. Have fun with it. I hope that you won't have an issue with the canes at work. When will you be having the surgery?

The surgery is planned for June that way I can do some window jobs and make money before hand and maybe train someone to work while I have to be off recovering from the surgery and swelling. I'm not making the popcorn now, but I might want to in a few years and thought it would be fun if I decide to do it then. If I can't have the two canes then at least the one would be better than nothing. I've been using that one now for at least eight months or so. When I asked my boss if I could use a second one to keep my back stable while walking he had no problems with it, but the secretary is the one that has to make sure we all stay compliant with corporate's rules.

@HazySue I hope so too but in the mean time I've developed some exercises that seem to be helping my back and that's the main reason I was using two canes to keep me even when walking

@MarshaMusselman I hope it all works out for you. I would think that they would be ok with two canes if you needed them.

I never had popcorn like this. But this post reminder fed me I have a couple of packets that can be made by heating it. It's called act 2 and comes in different flavours. I do hope your visit yo the doc went off well. And you are starting on those exercises.i need to do deep breathing ones to keep my bp down

I think we've sold the act2 brand before, but the only flavors I remember would be kettle corn or regular or with butter. We call that microwave popcorn. You may want to re-read your first line in the first paragraph just above, it's a bit wonky. You can edit it so it's fixed and understood better.

@MarshaMusselman I have never eaten this type of popcorn . Does that make it clearer? You said first line. The second line has been tampered with by the autocorrect....Again!!!!!! It should go.. but this post reminds me of the fact that I have a couple of packets..... Anyway , the good thing is that I am talking to you and chatting instead of a just post ,response format

I have never made anything but regular popcorn and have never even considered making popcorn for St Paddy's Day.

I never considered such and idea either. Growing up when everyone else wore green we wore red, which supposedly is the polish color

I see a lot of ideas when checking out my customers although it's I didn't ask what they're ingredients were for I'd have no idea just by looking.

Have you made it before, or it just sounds and looks good to you? It's probably wonderful for adults too, but making it for the kids would be a better excuse.

It looked good too, but I've not made anything with sugar for a few years now and don't plan on starting just yet.
