He fell out of bed

Bob fell out of bed. Princess did not even push him. She slept in her bed all night in our room.
He said he was scooting towards me, but that makes no sense, as he fell out. It woke me up and I could not get back to sleep.
Bang! what a start to my day.!
It will still be a good day, I am sure.
Princess came out when I got up and ate a bit. Bob and I will eat oatmeal together later, but I need something now to let me concentrate. I am hungry.

It sounds as if he thought he was turned a different way. I've done that before, scooted towards the edge to get comfortable, not realizing it was the edge I was scooting towards.
I guess he's alright, just bruised?
It's an earlier start to my day as well. I woke up around 6:30 and finally got out of bed at 7:30, after a quick doze.
It is raining here, a cold rain.

@GardenGerty My weather app says it's not raining, it certainly is still overcast here. I am ready for spring here. If it's going to be cold and wet, I'd rather have spring.

Last time I visited my old auntie there were rubber mats on either side of her bed. The staff put them there after she had fallen out of bed. I joked that they were there so she would bounce back up if it happened again. She laughed.
