Last night while I was waiting ouside a mall, a teary-eyed woman suddenly asked me for fare money. She apparently lost her wallet. I don’t have much money on my wallet but I still gave her a small amount just enough for 1 public vehicle ride. I asked her questions though before I gave the money and I was also very alert there might be someone else who would rob me or something while the woman was talking to me. Since I was asking a lot of questions, she gave me her ID. I saw that she lives in a place which is around 2 hours away from the mall so I said “oh this is far, how come you’re here?” she said she had a job interview. I said why apply to a job that’s far from your house, she said that’s the job that called back or something like that. She’s also in a hurry, when I gave her the money, she was out of sight in a snap. The woman was a bit hard to believe right? Or am I just full of doubt? My boyfriend always tells me to be careful but you know what made me give the money? It’s because a similar incident happened to my mother years back. She was already sitting on the bus when she noticed that her bag was broken and her wallet was gone. She was crying so much while asking for bus fare. It was heartbreaking. I feel bad when this happens to others too.

Thank you. It was a very small amount but at least I was able to help.

I would have given her the money, it would be my good deed for the day.

It’s one good way to treat the situation also.

In my life, i was approached by two or three people asking money for such. I ignored them. In the first place, why leave the house without money? Be careful of hypnotists.

I think she was also anticipating that question. Before I was able to ask she already said that her money was short by a little amount for her to get home. I will be very careful. Thank you!
