Ate Supper Alone Tonight

Instead of fixing more food, I warmed up a piece of fried haddock, broasted potatoes, and some boiled cabbage. For dessert I had a very small slice of sweet-potato pie(not homemade) with a little bit of cool whip on top. This sounds like a very odd combination, but it was delicious! I'm gonna have some Whiting that I fried up yesterday with collard greens and cornbread. Becky was here for lunch so I made elongated meatball sandwiches with marenara and mozarella on hot dog buns for us.

@Courtlynn And the lucky whip in the squirt-can. My brother use to devour that like it was a baby bottle!

Your supper sounds good. My mother used to make sweet potato pie instead of pumpkin.

Those two pies are quite similar taste-wise, but I like the sweet potato pie better:)

@kobesbuddy My mother did too which is why she always made it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I could tell the difference. Mostly because I don't like either pumpkin or sweet potatoes. My tastes have changed. I eat sweet potatoes often now. I'm still not a huge fan of the pies though.

@kobesbuddy Haddock is a saltwater fish from the cod family. Cod is my most favorite white fish of them all.

I also do not make a new dish or meal if I am going to eat alone. I usually eat the leftover food

I had some leftover pasta and it wasn't very good. I'm hungry now but there's nothing in the fridge that would make a good fast meal. Oh well.

When I can't think of a food that sounds good, I resort to eggs! They're so fast and easy, plus I love them

Some days I'm really hungry, while at other times I'm not. Today, I needed a hearty meal, even though Jay was gone at supper time.

I didn't know what haddock was. But I read on Wikipedia, that it is a fish. Well I am sorry to have to tell you that your dinner would not have been to my liking. I don't like eating fish and no one marine animal! I let them live freely in the sea!

It sounds fine to me. When ever I see Cool Whip mentioned I am brought right back to days of Jello and my time with my Mom.
