Some people can be so rude online

I follow that Fox News Girl named Dana Perino on Instagram. If you follow her, you know she has a dog named Jasper who she dotes on. She photographs him all the time and she even wrote a book about him.
Dana is in her 40s I am thinking and I am thinking her husband is around that age. They do not have any children. The way they love Jasper the dog, it is like he is their kid.
Two days ago, Dana posted another picture of Jasper on Instagram. Many people commented. One person in particular commented and that one person was so rude!
They said to Dana Perino "I am not trying to show disrespect, Jasper is a great pet who I know you treat like your child, but it is too bad you never had children. I think you would have been much happier". I paraphrased what they said.
Can you believe the nerve of that person?? That statement ticked off many people with negative responses, the main response being:
1) She and her husband may have not been able to have kids for one reason or another.
2) They may not have wanted to have children. There are people in this world who do not want to have children.
That person does not know their reasons and should have kept their mouth shut. I personally would never ask a person I do not know well, why they didn't have kids. It is rude and intrusive and just tacky.

I find it incredible that some people assume that people without children are unhappy and that everyone is going to be happier by having children.
Children can be an absolute nightmare and having raised two of my own I would suggest to anyone that they think very, very carefully before making the massive, life-changing decision to have children.
Hand on heart I couldn't say with any certainty that I would do it again if I had my time over. Don't get me wrong, I love my children more than anything and would die for them but I felt that from the day my eldest was born until my youngest reached about 13 or 14 (a total of 17 or 18 years while I was in the prime of life) my own life went on hold. Unless you are prepared to do that then I would suggest children aren't for you and it would be a very selfish act to have them.

@LeaPea2417 Unfortunately too many people seem to be forced, by family and societal pressures, into having children they don't really want but just feel they should have.

Seems social media gives people license to say whatever they want regardless if it's hurtful. When it comes to people having children I would never ask why they either don't have any or why they have too many.

Not everyone is happy with kids, or happy without. And you won't know how you feel until you have them, which can be too late. Unfortunately.
People need to worry about themselves and not others.

Ugh, that's terrible! My husband and I have "furkids", whom we love dearly and consider members of the family. That person's opinion and judgment are not welcome. Apparently they didn't listen when their momma said, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything!"

That half-wit human is wrong. He was a waste of time to pay attention to. I'm sure Dana Perino did not respond and left him to is own pathetic state. I don't have Instagram, is there a delete or block button there?
