Do you first talk about the flaws? Or do you go all in with your wonderful traits?
Me I go all in with how wonderful I am, then its your job to discover those flaws. But are they flaws or just the normal human things?
How do you fill out an application for work?
Why do you want to work here? Ahhh, I am a people person 
, I would say : I hate people but we have to exist together and I need money.

Thankfully my days of filling out job applications are over and I'm enjoying being retired. I'm old enough to just be myself.

I see myself as a child of God who is loved beyond measure by my Father. I see myself as a sinner, someone who loves, and does the best I can to bless those around me. I also see myself as a wife and a mother. =)

Many years ago my boss gave her staff a questionnaire asking people to describe themselves. I filled it out and gave it back. It was easy to answer. ... THEN! But NOW? I can't remember what my answers were and I don't know how to describe myself. Uhhh ... dull and boring?

@andriaperry - These days I don't do anything exciting. Not that my life was exciting. But when my kids were younger I was definitely busy! I felt like I had a purpose. These days I don't do much except work online all day long. Nobody would want to trade places with me. They would say I don't do anything! I'm dull and boring,

Lately I notice more of my flaws....but if I were filling out an application and asked that, I would say that I am hardworking, honest, loyal, things like that. I am not really a people person though because of my anxiety.

My general approach has been to do my best - understand the job first and then tackle it.
I think it was the sincerity of purpose and giving more than I took.
That made sure I was always needed and useful.
The negative was some took advantage but I overlooked that! siva

It is funny how the whole applications are filed with nice lies and companies like that. people obviously go to work for money. do you go to your current work if they don't pay? The other motives would be filling useful or to be helpful to people.

Yes, I go to work if I do not get paid, I am a landlady, sometimes that happens.
