On Saturday March 16, 2019 Beatrice Dumouchel turns 109. She has no diseases and takes no medications. Is she tired of life? Does she have any tips to share on how to live a long life? According to the Actualites 24h, a Montreal paper, here are a few tips that may have contributed to her long life: * Good genes (not much we can do about that) * She doesn't believe in going to bed too late and by 11 PM she is in bed * She believes in taking long walks * Drinking a glass pf wine from time to time * She says her prayers Is she tired of life? Not at all, she wants to live many more years! If you had to share a tip on living a long life, what would you offer?

My goodness - I am almost half her age and I can't imagine living for another 50some years! She is doing quite well ! I don't know about sharing a tip (what do I know), but certainly maintaining a healthy and happy lifestyle helps.

There are many things we can do to live longer and healthier - I would add healthy food with lots of vegetables - we need more alkaline food and organic if possible..

@KlyliePot There are some people that live on fruit but I don't know how long as I think that vegetables are just as important as fruits.

@KlyliePot I don't know about vegetables, but definitely more fruit. I'm more a fruit person than a vegetable one.

Stories like that are so uplifting. Being active is the tip I would share. My grandmother only lived to 96, but after a long and difficult life, she remained upbeat, independent, and active right to the end.

My advice, which I do not always follow is to keep a calm perspective on things. I believe I will live to a ripe old age, but we will just have to see.

I sure don't keep a calm perspective - on the inside anyway - I guess it's my nature . I hope to be around for a long time - at least until after my kids are grown and independent!

For those who enjoy good health, it's a rich blessing to be able to see so much life and think back on the life you've lived. You're not tired. You're thankful for each day, each hour, each minute, each second, each breath you take.

My grandmother reached the age of 100 and she used to say "I am well where I am, I am not at all tired of life". She did more or less everything this woman does, except praying, she was not religious.

@MALUSE I am not surprised that people on those two Islands are the oldest, they only eat natural products and they usually are not at all stressed. The younger generations are more stressed and the stress kills.
