Do you listen to different types of music depending on what you are doing?

I know when I am at work I like classical music. But I also like music from the 1960's - 1990's (Rock and Roll) what is now called Classic Rock. I find that depending on what I am doing, I have a different soundtrack for my life. How about you? Do you change the soundtrack of your life, depending on what you are doing and if so what are your go-to music types?

Definitely! Depending on my mood, I switch back and forth between country and classic rock. When I work out at the gym, I listen to music with upbeat tempos. When I am warming up before sporting events, I'll play more hardcore stuff.

upbeat for workouts is how I roll. Although my workouts now, are no where near as intense as they were 20 years ago.

I generally do not. I get in “moods” for certain things, and that’s what I’ll play. When my boss is at work I keep it toned down. When he’s gone, it doesn’t matter if I want to hear the Clash or the Delmore Brothers.

I also like different types of music mainly depending on my mood. I like classical music, but also music from the 1960's up to the mid 1970's.

@DocAndersen Music is surely universal, songs is another matter, if you cannot understand the lyrics it's not the same.

Yes! I do but I call it my mood and not work music. Country less than any other. I like a mix of today`s hits with the older ones, we have a couple radio channels that play it just like that. But when I wanna wake up and I am driving, nothing beats KOL (kings of leon)

Yes! It also depends on my mood. When I feel emotional, I like listening to 80's love songs like songs of Tifanny, Roxette, Madonna. If I feel lively and cheerful, I listen to upbeat songs of Katy Perry, JLo, Bruno Mars, Usher, etc...

I'm like you, I can listen to any kind of music depending on my mood and what I'm doing. I can listen and appreciate classical to the present, including traditional Filipino and OPM ( Original Pilipino Music) even foreign music.

I'm like you and prefer classical music when on the computer or dining. For cleaning and workouts, I love more upbeat music.

we listen to classical in the car (drives the twins nuts). On other occasions, we prefer other types of music, with more energy!

I mostly like soft romantic songs. But in a sad mood I would prefer melody.
