Beyond memories, what one thing do you have from your childhood that is precious to you? I have a Champion Swiss Army knife I bought in Ireland in 1972. Its sits in my desk drawer and I use it all the time. How about you, what is the one thing you've forward from childhood (object)!

I have an expensive horse ornament that I bought when I was 16. That is special to me.

@DocAndersen No, it's a china Beswick horse. I just thought it was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen.

@DocAndersen that's cool, I was able to increase my childhood collection and got hold of some coins that I thought would be impossible for me to acquire when Ebay came along

my parents were both in the army and they had little bags of money from all the different countries they've been to. when I was younger they gave it to me to keep. I remember spending hours admiring all the details and designs of different coins and paper bills. even now I'll go through the bag sometimes. That and my small mardi gras beads collection, my grandmother used to live in New Orleans.
