There are books out there that are just so incredible that you just can't put it down... regardless if dinner still has to be made. I can think of a few but the longest I can remember and it took 6 long weeks was "Life's Greatest Secret by Mathew Cobb. So, that is the question I'm asking you... Can you remember a book that you have read that took you a long time to read... because it was just so darn interesting!! The next book I chose is by John Grisham... and I have a feeling it's going to be easier going (fiction this time) but I can't put this one down either!!!

The longest book I ever read was The Stand by Stephen King. The uncut version. I have actually read that book twice. The original once and the uncut version once. Loved it both times. There have only been three books I have ever read twice. The Stand, Ghost Story by Peter Straub, and The Lord of the Flies by William Golding. I can't remember how long it took me to read any of these, but I do read pretty fast.

I liked John Grisham courtroom drama a lot some time back. I took a long time to read Krishna Key by Ashwin Sanghi. I am yet to finish it. I started it last year and have finished a few other books but not this one.

SPACE By James A. Michener. 622 pp. was a book that took me a while because it was a huge book but I read it every chance I had as I got into it and it kept me wanting to read more.

I am a fast reader but I got a book by my favorite author on February 29, 2016 (My Leap Year Birthday) "American People : Volume 1" by Larry Kramer and here it is 3 years later and I haven't finished it yet!! Not because I want to savor every word or it is so intriguing or good but 1) I cannot NOT finish a book and 2) It is so boring I don't believe he wrote it!! I now read it when I have to wait in a doctor's office!

The books that took me the longest to read, only because I have my own to work on and write, was the Harry Potter series. I can't tell you how long each took to read.

I can't really remember a really long book. I gave up reading for a while after burning too many saucepans.
