Funny Story: "How are YOU?" I am MARRIED.

Let me share my story about a mylotter who had blocked me a few months back. I am sure she is not that active anymore here. I am not also trying to create fire about it. It all started with a simple phrase: 'How are you?' I asked this to a mylotter with no malice at all. For her, it is a big deal and commented back: 'I am married.' Then, she blocked me outright. 
'Have you experienced this kind of misunderstanding?'
'How do you handle malicious minded people?'

I am sorry to hear this. I have had someone block me that I thought was my friend. I have no idea why but oh well.

Yes they probably shun a lot of people who they don´t want to see I guess.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I also noticed that some patronize us. I can't do this. It feels like they are challenging my wit. I can still remember a mylotter does this. He can never stop doing it. For me, I don't mind. I just ignore it.

I didn't share this concern since she was active here before. After such an encounter, I choose to ignore it. Then, I tried to reach her out. Perhaps she is in a bad mood at that time. Then, I realized that she blocked me when trying to comment to one of her discussions.

@LadyDuck I agree. I am trying to develop the skills of what runs to their minds. In the real world, I am quite fascinated by knowing people's behavior in reacting to their environment. I used to do this. I just sit on the bench and observe people in the park.

It is certainly strange. She may not have had good experiences online which may have contributed to the wariness. There could any number of reasons. Only she can explain it.

@Shavkat Her reply gave the idea that she did think that and hence shut down the communication before it even started. It reeks of previous bad experience or maybe being overly cautious.
There are too many harassing women online these days. Being cautious is not just an option but a necessity these days.

@Daljinder I do agree on that. Regardless, mylot is not a site that can harass her in any points. Since it is prohibited. I hope she can have distinguished which wordings are not acceptable to her. It is still her own discretion.

Hmmm, well if you sent it in a private message..then maybe the person thought you were after them, if you just asked on the public forum..I don't understand why she would block you.

To me it seems like a strange reaction. It was just a normal question, but I guess she interpreted it in a different way since she reacted so strongly.

I had a date once and it was the first date and he did not take me anywhere. He came to my home and no he did not come on to me. He told me right out he did not want to marry me. I thought to myself what? It was just a date. I was very shocked. All you did was ask how she was and that was her answer. Maybe she was in a very bad mood that day so she decided to block you. I do not understand people and how they act and are.
