Grab Snatch Plop And Miscommunication

This has been a day of miscommunication. Around 7 am the heart doc came by and told him "one more day" and the tube will come out.
Around 9:30 the heart surgeons side kick came around and said, "one more day" because we got 30 somethings last night so we both went to sleep.
At 11 am the heart surgeon came in, cut the stitch and pulled the tube out. That is the grab, snatch and the tube plopped out on a towel he had waiting.
Tony asked about when he would go home and he said "as soon as the heart doctor signed the paper."
I was sent down to ask and the nurse did not even know the surgeon came and pulled it out.
Some big mouth, that would be me, asked her,the nurse, to ask when. I am tired of sleeping on a rock.
We got a miscommunication going on here!
How are you all doing?

This is the most frustrating part about the medical world and why I wont take another caregiver job. There is a doctor to consult and the surgeon, I may be mistaken but back in the good old days a doctor did both.

That kind of stuff is very frustrating. Sorry about that Andria! Sometimes doctors don't remember the human.

Friday at 10 am, on the way home I dropped off paperwork that I was supposed to drop off last Tuesday when they admitted him, it was all good, I had a month to sign them but I was just in the area. Got new meds and when we got home Tony went back to sleep.

@andriaperry Oh, I'm so glad for you both that the hospital ordeal is behind you. He will rest, and so will you, so much better at home where he is comfortable. I'll keep him in my prayers.

I really hope that he gets to go home soon and that you get everything straightened out with the doctors not telling one another they did something.

Been there and done that with the catheter, and that was only one doctor, but I think in our case he was so excited to have been able to relieve a long term problem and felt Bob would do okay. I know, that is nothing like having a drain from your heart. I am glad that Tony was doing well enough that they could do it, though.

Oh yeah, if you did not know Tony you would not know he has cancer. The ones who do know him only knew because he did not have hair, Tony always has lots of hair that touched his collar, very vain about the hair. LOL maybe I shouldnt say that.
Bob`s problem is just as serious as anyone else`s, just tubes in different places to help each get function back.

I'm glad that Tony will be going home. I am doing OK. Not much going on here. The weather is up and down which is normal for March.
