Vet bills can be expensive. Today Princess got an exam, her ear flushed out and cleaned, an antibiotic shot, a steroid shot, and a "cold laser treatment" (whatever that is) and liquid antibiotics for a week.
It may be a simple infection, in which case it will get better, or it may be a polyp in her ear, in which case it will not get better. I was at work and did not go to her appointment with Bob.
She already seems to be feeling better.
So that is the latest that I know.
I do not know if I will get called in to work this week any more or not. We shall see. I kind of am looking forward to some "normal time".
Between working in the days and chasing car parts and stuff in the evenings, I am exhausted. And way behind on myLot.

lol I think you will need to do a lot of Mylotting to earn that amount, but when our pets need something we find the money don't we lol

She has always been pretty healthy, except for when I first got her, and the flea killer I used on her put her into seizures. I am not sure what caused her to get this ear infection.

I plan to visit the big city in maybe 2 weeks time, I hope I can make enough to add to my allowance. Hotel stay would not be a problem as there is always a place to stay, only some allowance and roundtrip plane ticket.

@LadyDuck Princess is sixteen. I am not sure that the ear infection is the only problem. We may know more on Thursday.

No, I have not looked into pet insurance. I do not feel it would be worth it for us. Princess is old for a cat and either she will get better or we will keep her comfy while she passes. She is scheduled for a follow up tomorrow. I am not convinced that the ear is the major problem. I suspect something is in her throat, as well.

Take you times your pet is very important to you so that is what you did. Mylot will still be here. Take time rest and take care of your fur baby.

Best of luck to you catching up. With all the things I try to do and juggle online I am always trying to catch up. Glad to hear Princess is going to be OK

I spent major money on vet bills in November and December with my other cat..and then he passed away anyway..What a terrible time! I sympathsize.

I wish I had the time to go to the appointments, but they are on the days I have been scheduled to work, so Bob takes her. She has most of the time been Bob's cat anyway, and still prefers him.

Lily is going to see a new vet tomorrow. This clinic is only for cats. I'm giving her some calming stuff today and tomorrow to see if it works. She is just getting her shots and maybe microchipped.

This "cold laser" treatment I looked up says it is supposed to calm them and also relieve pain.
