My Car

Three weeks and counting. The weather is perfect this weekend. Have you ever had dreams that had a way of showing you what's happening? My younger son told me he doesn't think my car will ever get fixed. I'm optimistic. I know my older son is a good mechanic. If he wasn't, I wouldn't have asked him to fix it. Then I had this dream where my younger son told me my older son had an accident and totaled the car. I'm happy to say, my car isn't totaled. However, my son did have an accident. He pulled a muscle in his chest preventing him once again from working on the car. He said he would try to work on it today, but I'm not holding out any hope of that happening. My optimism is diminishing. I need my car. I have an appointment with my publisher this week and UntitledTown is next month along with my hair appointment. I'm not missing any of those appointments and events. So, once again I messaged a friend to pick me up for church this morning. I really hate being without my car. I wanted to ask him what he would do if he was without a car for a long period of time, as motivation to get it fixed. However, that seems a bit selfish on my part especially since he hurt himself this past week. It's not like I'm not paying him to fix it. I have the money set aside. I've had it set aside for three weeks now. I reorganized everything to take care of this car, and still, it sits at my son's. My next post will show my car in the parking lot. The only pictures I have of it right now are covered in snow. The next picture won't be snowcovered. I'll also be happy because my world won't be tilted any longer as it feels like it at the moment. I have no intention of missing my meeting with my publisher on Thursday, so something has to give. Have you ever waited on something that seemed to take forever to accomplish? I hope everything is good in your world. Thanks for reading.

@just4him Yes I have and I hate depending on others. I like my freedom and independence. Before I got my attachment I could not do what I needed to do and was at the mercy of who was suppose to bring it to my scooter guys. It was so frustrating.

@just4him Yes, but I know it is hard to be without something that gives you freedom to go and do what you want.

Yes, many times. I am not sure I told you about roomies car..we waited a long time for it to get fixed and now it is still smoking..of course he is out of cash. I think he is going to try to get an estimate on it..but he might as well wait now until his check comes..because he sure doesn't have the money to fix it now. In the meantime, he is hanging around here all the time, and I have to take his trash out..

YES! When we were homeless and hungry at times it felt we would be in that motel FOREVER but we knew with faith that our time was coming-that God was working it out for the BEST!! That was the LONGEST 7 months of our lives but the biggest BLESSING too!! Our faith in our Father grew so much through it and we were able to bless many others who watched us through the trial. When we prayed back then we thanked God for getting us through it and giving us the best place for us--even though that was NOWHERE in physical sight. It is our BIGGEST testimony now! =) Also, we know satan uses these things to keep our eyes on the problem-not the solution, also known as Our Father.

Yes, you have a powerful testimony. I do praise God for what He has done for me. I know I will come out the other side of this with a testimony.

@DianneN I don't want you to have a heart attack that something actually went right in my world. I do have Thursday taken care of. A guy from church, with an okay from his wife, will be taking me to my appointment with my publisher on Thursday. They are such a sweet couple. They were part of my Small group prayer study.

I often have dreams where I see what's going to happen. I dreamed that our car was stolen and a few day after it happened, I had other dreams like this, I wonder why always unpleasant. I hope your car can be fixed and that it will be fixed soon.

Oh my. I don't blame you . That would be a very long time to have to wait. It's too bad son hurt himself, and I guess that makes sense as to additional delay - but it's already been so long. Anyway, I hope he can get to it soon and feel better , too.

No, it wouldn't. They're starting price was $400 and that's without looking at it. Add in what they wanted for the tuneup $150, and there's no way I have that kind of money. My son is charging me for the parts, and a little bit for his time, and I mean a little bit. As I've already paid for the parts, I expect it will be less than $50 for the rest.

I am sorry to hear it's 3 weeks now and counting....and sorry he got hurt. Hopefully he will feel better enough soon so he can get it done. That would be very frustrating to be waiting on something that you really need!
