What benefit is there to toasting bread instead of just eating it untoasted? If there is no benefit, how much electric energy is wasted on toasting in the U.S. of A., do you think?

well untoasted bread is the same as toasted minus the carbon content..;) it's good to eat toasted bread every once in while, though..:)

I have heard, not sure how true this is but if you toast bread it cuts some calories from it being untoasted.

I like them both ways. I don't see anything wrong when toasting it. It doesn't take much time to do it. Know what I mean? It's good too.... lolz
