Do you enjoy writing? Want to earn money for it with no minimum payout?

There is no minimum payout at Associated Content. If your article only gets $3, you get paid that $3 right away. If your article gets $20, you're paid right away. Generally, from the time you submit an article to the time it is published, it only takes about one week for them to make an offer. Then you just accept the offer and you're going to get paid within a day or two usually. If you have decent grammar and can write, try it out! http://www.associatedcontent.com/join.html?refer=1007 You can see my articles here for some examples of what they're looking for. I've made nearly $400 with all combined. The highest paid was $15 for me. http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/1007/valerie_hansen.html

I hope so too. It doesn't sound like there is anything similar that pays outside of the US. :(

US only, sorry! I didn't realize that before. I thought they at least also paid in Canada or other countries with PayPal.

Through Paypal. Sorry, I just found out it's only for the US. :( Another poster in this thread mentions another thread asking about similar programs elsewhere.

I have found Triond quite good for short articles where you want a steady trickle of royalties coming in. My best selling article there is this one http://www.gomestic.com/Personal-Finance/Managing-your-Debts,-a-common-sense-approach.8606

That looks cool. About how much do you make in royalties per month off a single article? I like both instant gratification where you're paid immediately, but I also enjoy doing things that involve royalties (see my thread about stock photos). Thanks!

Just bumping this up to remind myself to look into that after finals week is over. The one thing I really like about AC though, is how when I need extra money fast, I know if I write say, 5 articles, I can have $50 next week. That is always cool.

and what are you still doing here on mylot?if you made 400 bucks

I joined myLot after I made that $400. I still do other things as well for money. $400 in 2 years isn't a lot. I'm not inspired to write often enough to make it a full time job, just extra cash. I currently do a part-time job for real income, 3 online things for some fun and extra spending money (to buy things I would not normally buy). I actually joined myLot because I saw something about it on AC. I kind of joined more to check it out than just for the money. It's an interesting place! I hope next year I'll be more inspired to write so that I only pay expenses with money from my real job. And anything I can buy online, I can buy with Paypal then.

what kinds of content we can make? or can you tell me about the topics?
@Pigglies (9329)

All types of topics. News, gift guides, commentaries, etc. Check out the links for more information. I put the referral link as well as a link to my articles for ideas of the types of article they accept. I usually make $10 per article, except for college papers, which only get $4.

Just wanted to mention that for me, that's the most limiting factor as to why I haven't made more money than I have. I am not creative enough to think of a lot of ideas of what to write about. Otherwise, I've heard that you can make a fulltime job out of it. I'd recommend that if you're a college student, you start by submitting a bunch of college papers. That gets you $4 a paper for stuff you already wrote. I'd never write a college paper for just $4, but if I wrote it for a class already, I might as well get a bit of money for it too.

Thanks! Maybe eventually they'll pay others as well. Someone on page 2 started a thread about places like AC out of the US. I hope to write more in 2007.

You're very welcome! Best of luck! Last night I was digging through some files to see if I could find more college papers to submit... and I found 4 more! Yay! The funny thing is, this makes me try harder on my papers in college because I know afterwards I can get $4 for them too. Silly, but hey, it works!

But i have heard that only Americans get paid for it,and not others as i am living here in Pakistan so i may join but the payment will not be dispatched,What you say abt it?

It sounds like only Americans can join. Although, they do have a non-payment publishing option, not sure if others can join using that or not. I tend to only write for money though. I mean, obviously I write for more than just money, but I don't write articles and then not expect something for them.

Yes you can. You can submit a college paper there and receive $4 for it. You'll receive more for articles, but I always figure that if I've already written a paper for college, I might as well get $4 for it.

Hi, i want to get some more information from you. I am joing next, if my country is enlisted here. Can you also let me know what type of articles can help you earn better. Is there any word limit etc?
@Pigglies (9329)

24 Dec 06
According to above posters, it's limited to the United States. If you look and see what their popular topics are, you'll earn more. Also, if you write for special offers (like the last ones you had to write about holiday gifts for a specific type of person), that brings in more money. I think the articles have to be at least 400 words, but there doesn't seem to be a limit on how far you can go. I've seen articles that go over 5 pages. Hope that helps!

I really liked that. I especially enjoyed your article on Mylot. You nailed it on the head with that one. I also go to a site called gather.com, it's okay, they are set up to build groups of certain topics. There is also daytipper.com, it was once vitaminT.com. They pay 3.00 for every tip you submit that they use. I have submitted like 40 and 36 were accepted so far. Thanks for the great link.

Thanks! I initially joined myLot because I read about it there. But the article I read was not that great and made this sound like big bucks. I think people needed a more realistic article. I will have to check out those links! I'm always into making more money. :) Last night I was scouring my computer for more old college papers to submit, since I knew I must have some!

What was your content in the college papers??
@Pigglies (9329)

Excellent question. From my page, scroll down to the bottom and when you get to "Why The United States is the World's Number 1 Agricultural Producer", that's one of them, and go up to "American Children Eating Fast Food Leads to Health Problems". All the articles in between there are college papers. Other college papers are: "Ethical Arguments for Legalizing Gay Marriage" and "How the Ocean is Regulating Global Warming". Those are examples of college papers I've submitted that got accepted. I'd definitely recommend making money off papers you've already written. Doesn't take much time putting them up, and you get $4 for something you wrote for a class anyhow.

I'm not sure they'd accept anything as long as an ebook. But reports yes, although, college level reports only go for $4. So to me that's only worth it if I already wrote the report for a class. I got the payment through PayPal.

Yes, just about anything. I've written pet care guides, holiday shopping ideas, submitted college papers, gay marriage debates, animal rescue fundraising ideas, etc. All sorts of things. :) That's one thing I really like, is that they allow you to write about anything. Although, some topics probably do pay more than others. But I make around $8-$10 per article on average.
