It Made My Day

One thing I really don't like is being late. The couple who picked me up for church is always on the late side. We got there right on the stroke of 9 when the service starts. Thankfully, it hadn't started yet when we walked in. However, being Palm Sunday, the church was packed. Finding a seat was fun. I had decided to start sitting in front last week because I'm so short and have a hard time seeing the screen during worship. It was the front where I found a seat. 
As soon as I came in the associate pastor came over, gave me a hug and said 'Finally.' He thought I wouldn't make it. It's nice to find someone misses you when you're not there at the usual time. When I have the car, which I will have today, I leave home at 8 or shortly thereafter and arrive by 8:30, a full half-hour before the service starts. I do it for two reasons. One, I get to listen to the musicians practice the music for the service. If there are any new songs, I can hear the melody and have a good handle on it when it's sung during the service. I also like to visit before the service and that gives me time to do so as people arrive.
During all the hugging after the first song, another lady also made me feel great. She told me she saw on FB a question if someone ever made her feel good when being hugged. She said she thought of me right away. I'm known as the best hugger in church.
So, two people made my day yesterday, as well as the couple who gave me a ride, who is very sweet, just late, and took me out to lunch after the service.

I don't like going to church late either. One week I was late and I couldn't find the seats saved for us but our daughters as they were singing on stage. Come to find out one of their bodies was saving our seats but I didn't recognize him in his glasses.
Good made my day yesterday when he reminded me where I put my keys.

I dont like touching strangers, but love hugging my friends and family.. something im known for by the kids, lol.

It's nice to get complimented and appreciated especially when it comes from someone you don't expect it from.
Glad you were able to make it to church and had a nice lunch afterwards.

Yes, it is. I don't get a lot of compliments, so they were appreciated.
It was generous of them and much appreciated, even though I had a pot roast in the crockpot.
