There is something terribly wrong in the U.S.A., when people have to choose between medication or food or rent. It's disgraceful that an illness can bankrupt a family. Meanwhile, corporations are making obscene profits. Before she died, my wife Scherry needed Kidney Dialysis 3 times a week. The dialysis company charged Medicare $16,600 everytime that she went. The copay on one of my medications is $275 a month. Some people hear "Medicare for All" and scream "We can't have Socialism!" We are a Socialist Democracy. The fact is that EVERY AMERICAN uses & enjoys Socialist programs in this country every day. The U.S.P.S., public water/sewer lines, roads, libraries are Socialist programs. Ever call the Police, fire Department or an E.M.T.? Those are socialist programs, too. Some say that Medicare for All is more expensive. The Koch Brothers, billionaires who support Republican candidates, has supported the Mercatus Center at the George Mason University in Virginia. "Medicare for All would save the American people $2 TRILLION over a 10 year period, that is what is in the study of the Mercatus Center." Let's get over the labels and join together to make sure that every American has adequate health care. "Bear one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galations 6:2. Let's get the greedy Insurance Industry out of the equation and help ourselves and our fellow children of God.
