Again today I am having an early dinner. Skipped lunch and a late breakfast. Salads are a favorite this time of year. Today it will be a chef salad.
I put all kinds of good stuff in my salads. Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives, croutons, sometimes ham or turkey, bacon bits, mushrooms and topped with chopped nuts. I like several types of dressing. Probably go with ranch today. And a few Ritz crackers on the side.
Too early to ask about dinner plans for you? Do you enjoy salads?

I love salads and that photo is making me really hungry! We're leaving soon to go to my husband's work reunion at a very good local restaurant, so that should be good. Your salad sounds so yummy...my very favorite is raw spinach, walnuts, tomatoes, avocados, home made croutons, maybe some cheese, sunflower seeds, and home made raspberry vinegar and oil dressing.

@CarolDM I've never tried artichoke hearts. Are they similar to anything else? I had a delicious salad tonight at the reunion.

@1creekgirl Love them, they give a little different taste. So good. Sort of like brussel sprouts I suppose but not as strong. I but the ones in the small jar, they are in an olive oil seasoned marinate. I like them right out of the jar. Sorry the photo is larger than I thought.

Yes it was delicious. That sounds, great, enjoy your dinner out. I was out of avocados but i love those too and sunflower seeds were substituted with pecans. Love all of your suggestions. My list is so long, it's more about what I don't like.... and artichoke hearts are good.

I love salads so much, I really hope you enjoy every bite. We are having leftover meatloaf from last night and I might make some fried potatoes.

Yes I do. I haven't had a chef salad--or made one--in years. Maybe this summer I will. Not too early since I'll be leaving for my church's Maudy Thursday dinner service real soon. Pot roost is always on the menu with salad and dessert.

I love salads but these days I'm making them very simple and vegan. Mine had mixed baby greens, zucchini, tomatoes and some ground up hemp seeds. I did not use anything else.
