Good morning myLotters! It's 4am and I'm up mylotting which isn't unusual for me at all. I already have my first cup of coffee and I'm awake and ready to go. Well, not really but it sounded good, lol. It's raining this morning and from the looks of it, it has rained all night. I think it's supposed to rain tomorrow too. I love the rain so it doesn't bother me at all. While drinking that first cup of coffee I was thinking about things to write about today. For some reason, I thought about some of the funny things that kids can say. A few cute ones came to mind and I thought I would love to hear other's stories. Sometimes the things kids say can be funny or it can warm your heart. They are so innocent and truthful. I'll start first, these are just a couple of things that came to mind right away. When my sister was about 1 or 2, she was outside with my Mom. My Mom was eating ice cream and sharing with my sister. Mom was a little distracted because a neighbor had come over to talk. My sister asked my Mom if she could have a bite. Thinking she meant ice cream, my Mom said of course. All of a sudden my sister bit my Mom on the arm. Boy was my Mom surprised...lol One day when my son was 3 years old, I was talking on the telephone and he was trying to get my attention. I whispered, wait until I get off the phone, I can't hear you right now. And he replied, but Mom, you have two ears. Those are just two that came to mind. I would love to hear things that your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews have said.

I love hearing kids talk so innocently too. My niece was 3 and had not known the difference between behind and infront, or following and being followed. So one day as we were in the car, my dad was driving us to church. So she saw a car that was in front and she kept saying that the car was following us so fast. We tried correcting her but she was so sure that she was saying the right thing.

I have 5 kids so there was always something happening, a fall or this or that. I had this thing that when one of them would fall (if it wasn't a bad one) I would say " YeeHaw Ride'em Cowboy ,get up and try it again" Usually it kept them from getting very upset . One day the youngest (25 this year) crashed her trike ,as she was getting up she yelled "YeeHaw Riding on a cowboy" .My mom and I laughed so hard.

@simone10 Luckily no she was so intent on her trike. But now I can look at her and say it and she is the one that laughs.

Some of their cute little things do stick in our memories don't they? I remember when our son was learning his A-B-C's and saw me write Papa a note. He was quick to start calling his grandfather P A P A, spelt out, because he thought that he was smart that he could spell it. Of course for a 2 or 3 year old, he was quite smart.

@simone10 Oh he did that until he started kindergarten anyways. And then when he was a teenager, he would call him that once in a while, it always cheered my Dad up, and when our son was in his teens my Dad's health was bad with his Lupus taking over.

Mixing in Easter and kids, when my kiddos were really young they went with us to practice an Easter musical and drama. I guess they were quite taken with it, because all one weekend they were riding their tricycle and bike shouting "Crucify him! Crucify him!' I am pretty sure the three year old did not know what it meant, and possibly the six year old did not either.

Love the two ears one! When my children were small we used to go to visit my parents regularly. On the way we had to pass a prison, and my husband would always say "That's a place to keep out of". One day we passed a cemetery, and my daughter piped up "That's a place to keep out of" - she was about 5.

Kids do say funny things. I remember my mom telling me a story when she was young. The landlady came to collect the rent and my mom answered the door. She yelled to her mom.... "the old pickle is here". If course her mom was embarrassed but I still get a chuckle from that story

@simone10 Sorry I mistook someone else for. Now, I can ask you what I wanted to ask. Why do you think your sister bit your Mom? What did your Mom do after she bit her?

@simone10 I bet it hurt. I have heard of kids biting kids when I was growing up. I wonder where that comes from. There was a program on TV with Art Linkletter called Kids Say the Darnest things. It was very cute program. Did you ever watch it?

I love talking to kids--they are so funny naturally, especially when they are being serious but you dare not laugh! WE just had a heavy rain go through for an hour and this weekend it is suppose to be cool, sunny and perfect--like it always is when Passover and Easter come at the same time!

Yes, they are always so serious when they say funny things . When my oldest grandson was about 4 years old, he had been swimming a few days before and had a sunburn. We all know that a sunburn will eventually peel. When he started peeling he was crying and when I asked him why, he said he was afraid that because he was peeling that he would become a skeleton. Poor guy thought all of his skin was going to come off..lol
