My unusual social interaction for yesterday.

So, it 4:15 PM, I'm done with work at the preschool, and I stop at the liquor store to buy a Coke and some smokes.
I have the last smoke from my previous pack ready to fire up, and I'm about to do so when a black lady of about 55 appears with a bottle of cinnamon whiskey and a small bag of other stuff.
She asks me for a smoke, and I show her my empty pack. I do not tell her about the new pack I just bought.
I notice that she has a "short" in her hand (a partially smoked cigarette) and she asks if I have some "fire." I say, "Of course," and give her my lighter. She lights up her short.
She cracks open her bottle of cheap whiskey and says, "That Coke would be a great chaser." I laugh and say, "Nope, I've been waiting for this moment and you can't share my Coke!"
I try to fire up my cigarette, and I have to turn three different ways to get it to light, because of the wind.
She laughs and says, "You're like a little kid." I say, "Hey it's just physics. One direction always works, but I can never tell which."
She says, "Physics. I like that. I do the same thing, Baby. One direction's gotta work."
We talk about this and that, including were we live, and then she says, "I gotta find my ride." I hope she has a ride.
I finish my cigarette and my Coke, and then drive home.

Heh. True. I don't spend a lot of time there. Something I noticed early in life: When you hang out on softball fields, you meet...fellow softball players. When you hang out in departments of psychology, you meet...other people interested in psychology. When you hang out in bars, you meet...drunks.

@TheHorse Birds of a feather.....
That is why I hang with successful people and not bums.But I am not rude to bums either.

@andriaperry Nor am I. I like drinking, but it's not among my top priorities. I like hanging out with those whose interests are similar to mine.

@TheHorse LOL. I have seen that kind before. Hmm. Best to leave that alone. I remember once getting hit on by a chick I worked with at Kraft Foods. She put her hand on my leg, and then touched my thingy and squeezed, and said "I like men" under the break room table. She was not all that and all I remember saying to her was, "I'm gay."

Haha she didn't offer you a swig of her rum! (Thankfully as you were driving and heading towards another ticket and possibly jail time)
