Too Pretty to myLot

I’ve had quite the day of fresh air and sunshine, but here I am.
This morning friends of mine and I walked miles into town and did a bit of clothes shopping while our husbands hit the outlets by car. We had to walk home with our shopping bags full of shorts, pretty tees, and beach coverups, all 90% off! 
It was worth the walk for that, since the shop was closing and we got our exercise in.
It was too beautiful to stay indoors, so I sunned and swam at the pool. Now I’m showered and ready to relax on myLot.

@just4him My husband gets just as excited as I do. I think we're the crazy ones. That bird is magnificent and so smart! He flew by all excited with a fish. He's so proud, so we clap hands and cheer him on just to have him fly back again for more cheers. Ospreys love to showoff their catch, but we seem to be the only ones who care.

I thought the title of your post said "Tom Petty to MyLot." haha
I agree that today was the picture-perfect spring day here in Florida. It was absolutely gorgeous here in Gainesville too. I told my daughter at lunch today that we should have skipped out of work this morning and drove over to the coast to spend the day in St. Augustine. She definitely agreed that we should have skipped out and gone!

@DianneN There's been a lot of days (both weekday and weekend) that I've been kicking myself fo not skipping out on work or other commitments to head to the beach. With the weather we've been having lately, it just doesn't get any better than this. And I really need to get to the beach soon, it's been calling my name for quite a while now.

It was a gorgeus day here too. I was out for awhile. The problem here is that there are so many flying insects around..when it is warm..it makes it a little treacherous to be out..the only place they aren't much of a problem is the lake.

@DianneN It tends to be balmy there and slightly breezy, bugs aren't really into the breeze.

I don't like those flying insects. We usually get them in CT around dusk in May and June. More proof you are ahead in climate. Believe it or not, there are not many bugs here on the water in Florida. I think the breeze blows them inland.

@snowy22315 It is about 80 today with a light breeze. Just as long as those bugs are blown away, I'm happy. Oops! One little bug was just hovering near the window!. It blew away.

Ah, that's the life 
! I got some myLotting in, but now I must get off and get things done. Appraisal on car done - yep, total loss. Got the rental yesterday. Hubby felt good enough to return to work today - at least for a partial day. It is a beautiful day here too . . . but I'll have to take advantage of that another time

@DianneN A lot of things were squared away this morning - so at least it feels like we can move forward. Hubby is at least not ahhhh-ing his every move now . . . that is a good sign. Meanwhile the rest of life has to go on . . . it's turned out to be a hot day! Hope you enjoy the rest of your day too!!

I'm sorry your car was a total loss, but I figured it would be by the description of your accident. At least you have a rental to use and hopefully, you can use it for a long time. So glad your husband is doing a bit better. It will take lots of time.

@NJChicaa After my massage and mani/pedi, there is a great little shop that I found. I stop in every time I get my nails done. Thursday is the only day I could use a gift card. It has to be used by Saturday or it will expire. Can't have that happen.

90% off that was well worth the walk and having to carry it all home. It's getting nice here and I am outside as much as possible. I believe this Saturday I am helping with a garbage clean up. They have been doing it for a few years and I have never been able to help. So far nothing is on the calendar so I am hopeful for nice weather and to be able to attend.
