what do you think of a person committing suicide over a broken heart?

its an extremely cowardly and selfish thing to do, people get over broken hearts all the time, not so easy to get over your son/friend etc taking their own lives, in fact its almost impossible

Aww sweety I have been there,,and nothing seems to make the hurt go away..I thought about it many times..and the only thing that kept me from actually doing it is because I am a huge wuss when it comes to pain lol.But then I met my best friend..and honeslty think she was sent by God..and she helped me get over him in a healthy way..it took alot of time i wont lie to you..but its not worth it..YOu seem like the most sweetest kindest person..and if she didnt appreciate you..well that is her loss..and I mean that..Time does heal wounds..I was with my ex for 7 years and were to be married.,.and well..bad things happen..Find something to do in place..i know i started talking to people online and in chat rooms..and my girlfriend was always theer for me just top listen..it wil be ok..your heart will heal..take care and if yo ever need to talk feel free to talk to me..:)

I think it is ridiculous if you broken hearts heal,lovers will come and go. It's not the end of the world, and anyone who considers killing hiselves over it needs to get help. also I dont know if you are a believer in god but if you are god wouldn't want you to take your life and your soul will not be saved in hereafter if you do.

I can see the reason behind it.When some one breaks your hear, those emotionaly weak tend to take such decition especially when their is none to confront them.I think they should instead go out and speak out about it to someone you has been your good friend for long to lighten their heart and trust me you will have any such thoughts somming to your mind vanish.

Unfortunately, this is something that happens more often that anyone likes to admit I am sure. Some feel that when a Lover leaves them, if it is someone like a Wife, Husband, Boyfriend, girlfriend, etc. that they no longer have a reason to live, so they end up taking their lives. It is sad and should never happen, but sometimes there is nothing anyone can do or say to stop them, except a Miracle.

Killing your self is not worth enough. Just wait there are better things headed your way. Maybe someone else will come to you that will forget about your past relationships.

i think she needs help, she/he should be referred to a health professional who knows crisis intervention.

...i think it's a waste...in the gentlest sense of the word. nothing is worth that. love is the reason to fight for life, not end it. worse things could happen, and as unsympathetic as that sounds, it's true. there's always something better around the corner. all of those sound lame. really, trust Jesus. he alone can fill that hole in a person's heart.

Well i feel its really silly to end your life for a lover..I mean lover is not everything in the world and it is just a part of life not life..Time will definately heal the wounds and once everything would be nice and i am sure someday a better person will come in that persons life..

love can hurt but have always said no one or nothing is worth taking your life over. You have but one life and things and loves come and go.

Having a broken heart is a horrible reason to end your life. Even though it seems that you will never feel happy again...there are other fish in the sea...It may not be easy to get over, but eventually you can be happy again. Even if you don't find someone else. You just have to stay strong and remember its not the end of the world. Your life is much more important than that lost love.
