Should alcohol be taxed more heavily?

The governments of many states are more heavily taxing cigarettes. Do you think they should do the same to alcohol? What do you think they should do with the money if they were to start an alcohol tax?I think the money should go into education. Smarter kids are less likely to grow up to be alcoholics (though it's not unheard of, of course)...
