I think Samprass claims the title right now, but there's no way I can not say Roger Federer with the way he plays the game so far head and shoulders above anyone else right now... especially with the way the game has matured.
I wish that Roddick would become more competitive as far as playing Federer goes because I think tennis needs a great rivalry to get more people interested and I think Roddick is a very marketable guy.

sampras as of now is in a different league.. agassi too did show brilliance.. but at the pace federer is going right now, it wont be long he is going to be the all time best. nadal will be more of a rival for federer than roddick. or perhaps a new young player might arise.. lets hope that the game becomes more competitive!!

Roger Federer ofcourse! I mean just look at him playing and his records. He is on his way to become The best!
My favorite is pete sampras though :)

well you have put it finely. the grace, the ease and the style with which he plays is too good to be true. that backhand top spin of his is too beautiful and at the same time effective.
at this pace, he is going to become the best tennis player the world has seen and will see for a long time to come..
sampras.. in his era, he was the best.. as of now, he can be said as the best to take to the court.. thanks for your opinion!!!

Federe rules...he's simply masterclass....just wait for 4 more years n he'll complete a Slam in a calendar year by then...once he masters Nadal on clay, he'll live upto his tag as the greatest ever....he's not just a player...he's a magician wielding a tennis racquet as wand ...

The best ever tennis players in the both the games i.e. men and women. The best player for male tennis is - Pete Sampras, as he created the history by winnin the maximum number of the Titles ever by a tennis player and that too in continuation. Next comes the legendary Martina Navratilova standing shoulder to shoulder with Steffi Graf. Nobody can beat these two ladies in the number of records they had created.
Roger federer is on the way to equal the records created by Sampras and might put his name in the history of tennis's greatest players in few years.
