Do you do prank calls? I used to years ago. But awhile ago at the office we had an idea that ended up being kind of fun... We were listening to that "Jenny I got your number..." song, and thinking about whether or not anyone could have that number yet or if too many people would call. We tried several area codes but most weren't in service. Finally we got one. It rang and rang and then went to an answering machine. The message went like this, "Hey! It's Jenny! You've got my number! Leave me a message!" It was really funny! I heard that back when the song originally came out, everyone with that number pretty much had to get a new number (including the actual Jenny). Not sure how much truth there is to that though, but I bet if that was Jenny's number, she had to change it. So do you have any funny prank call stories to share?

i did, we pranked my sisters friends mom, we used phrases off of Offspring, when they talked or something, and play it at a certain time...it was great...but now since computers came out i kind of wish i was a kid again, you can make the computer talk and no one would know it was you!

Oh I have used that feature more than once! A company that still owes me money got a recording everyday for quite awhile saying, "Hi, this is *****'s automated message service. This message is to let you know that you still owe ***** $2,000. The following message is a statement of what is owed..." and then it would go on to list in detail what they still owed me for. Unfortunately, they only got me about $400. Now I'm stuck suing for the rest.

I did as a kid. The closest I come is having fun with telemarketers that call at work. They are always someone trying to sell printer services. Some get mad when I say that we already have a service and are very pleased with them. They end up calling back several times, I finally had had enough of this one guy so I told him I'd connect him with Trudy Johanson, she's the one to talk too. Well, we don't have a Trudy Johanson there, but I sent him to an empty phone extention and I guess he gave up. BUT he did call the next day and the regular receptionist answered it - I hadn't thought to tell her about our new employee - and she was so confused when this guy asked for Trudy. So now when we have pushy sales people call, our receptionist dumps them on Trudy and the empty extention.

That is funny! I like having fun with telemarketers. I'm sure their job is boring and they need fun people like us. ;)

i called around once for a man to answer and i talked dirty to him. He was just really quiet and then said he didnt know who i was. When i was about 10 my sister and i used to call every number we could think of and told them we were from a new radio station and we could call anyone they wished to play them a song and a message from the person. So people would actually give us their friends numbers and a song to play them and a message to give them like happy birthday, or congratulations. or i love you. ect.. we did it for a really long time and it really took off. We became kind of popular after a while. It was crazy when we didnt have the songs to play though. we had a blast doing it though. did it allday when our parents werent around. lol

This goes back whe call-waiting was a new feature. Two of us were in the main office with two multi-line phones. So my friend called this guy, who had call-waiting, & we pretty much drove him crazy. He would talk to him, & then I would dial his phone, & activate his call-waiting, & then hand my friend the other phone. Then using the other phone, I would dial his number again, & we kept going back & forth with the phones. Jumping ahead a few months, at his birthday party, someone had this book full of blank pages for us to write down what we remember the most about him, & that same friend & I mentioned what we did to him. When someone read the writings out loud, we all just could not stop laughing.
