"Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good." This is an old paradigm..but, it's still true..Thoug women has some abilities too, as well as men.

i dont think..probably this may work long long time ago. but in this new era, there's a lot of capable women around who dont even have to work extra hard to be better than some men (and i'm not saying myself ;D)

What a thought... I am a woman and I used to think like Charlotte Whitton. That is why I was known as a tough woman. But I have to disagree with Ms Whitton now. I think this notion started when women entering areas initially dominated by men. I'm not saying women cannot be better in certain things than men. I just disagree when women are made to COMPETE against men. Adam and Eve were made to COMPLETE each other, not the other way around. Ms Whitton said it is not difficult to be much better than men. I would say it is. Because a woman after all is not a man unless that woman wants to become a man, then she can no longer call herself a woman, can she...=)
