How old are you?

Do you wish you were younger or older, or are you at just the right age?

cooldude - thanks so much for finding my discussion. I know the content and difficulty is overwhelming for most people, but you have passed with flying colors. Eighteen and going strong. An age where many feel like they can do anything they want - on top of the world. Is that you?

Well I see you are one year younger than me. Yes I do want to be a little younger only by about 8 years though. I think I am now on the down hill side of life. Everything opportunity that was available is no longer available at this age. I am glad i experienced as much as I could when I was younger, because now my friend I am afraid you and must settle for what we have not what we can get.

Out with the old and in with the new. Life is a journey. We often thing various facets of the present will continue forever, but later we find out that as time marches on, most everything changes in one way or another. Thanks for your comment.

Some do say that age is a matter of the mind. So if you are 15 or 75, I guess you can say that you are not old at all.

I'm 27. I wish I was younger because when I was around 21 I could barely enjoy my youth. I was studying and working at the same time. I'm a late bloomer. Some of my lady friends would make fun of me when they visit my place and find action figures and scale models. I just said to them that since I didn't have the money nor time to be a kid I'd rather enjoy it now even if it were late. I don't want to end up like some old people who never had the opportunity what it was like being a kid. That serves as lesson for me when I have my own kids in the future. Don't deprive my children from being kids. Let them enjoy their youth.

It sounds like even at the age of 27 you still enjoy a lot of youth. That way when you are 45, you'll probably feel like 30. Sounds like you also have creativity and an active mind. Tell your friends it is OK to enjoy life. Of course that enjoyment must also mesh with the other facets of your life. Do have a wonderful day.

I'm 22! I want to stay at this age FOREVER! LOL! I think it's a great age, don't you? I'm old enough to do just about anything and not old at all! :O)

You are right about that - not old at all. Certainly 22 is an exciting age. You are obviously a legal adult and you are busy building your life and planning for your future. You can still remember what it was like being a teen at home, and now you are enjoying your independence. Even if you are still living at home, you and your parents know it is not the same. Continue your enthusiastic approach to life. I'm sure that you will find 23 just as nice as 22.

Relax, 24 is not on the old side. I told one of the other commenters that she was doing well at 32. You have much to live yet. Enjoy your children while they are young. They will grow up pletny fast.

I am 32 years old. And you know, I am pretty happy with my age. :) When I was younger, I always wanted to be older and people would often tell me that I was more mature than other kids my age. But I am sure that phase is used often. ha ha But I have learned in my life to appreciate things. I have made many mistakes and have learned from those mistakes. If I were younger, I would have to endure those mistakes all over again. And honestly, I don't want to have to go through that again. LOL I am sure though, I will make more mistakes and learn from them. I am okay with that. Because at least I believe that I have more wisdom and will be able to apply the knowledge I have now to the mistakes that lay ahead. So, I like the age I am at. And as time goes by, I am sure that I will like that age too.

You make a lot of sense. Thirty two is a good age. As you said, you have learned along the way, made it past the 30 hump and now have many years of fulfilling adulthood left. Good for you. Glad to hear your positive outlook on life. Thanks for your response.

Yes, it is interesting how other ages sometimes look better. This can be for a variety of reasons. There is also the factor that our own ideas and perceptions continue to change as we get older. My perception when I was 21 was so much different than what I see now that I am well beyond 21. Thanks for your response. Do have a nice day.
