Major Boo-Boo!

Well... I did a really BIG boo-boo! I had wanted to find out why my new upgraded rewards credit card from Capital One never made it to me. So I called... Was told they would issue me a new one. It wasn't until that evening that I realized I really screwed up. In my mind I was thinking Capital One. But in realty I called Navy Federal. I inadvertently canceled my American Express card. It did not need to be cancelled. I had already received it. Downside... I had to be issued a new number. I was able to keep my old one from when I had a Visa, because the new card was considered just an upgrade. The Visa was my very first card that I opened up with them. So it was kind of special to me. They were the first financial institution that gave me a fresh start. Nevertheless... I now am waiting for the replacement card. Plus... I am still waiting for my Capital One rewards card. My new American Express card was expedited to me, and is schedule to arrive tomorrow. Oh... What a dummy I was...

Accidents happen. I have just opened a card with Capitol One cause of a cash back deal. I'm hoping for the best.

I wish you the best too. Don't be surprised if it comes late. Out of all the cards I received, they were the only ones that came late. Maybe yours will be different.

@teresatrotter They're usually really good about that stuff. It might be a delay with the postal service, but it's a good idea to have it replaced if it hasn't shown up as expected. I like that they actually show the tracker on the account when they send out a new card so you can see exactly when it shipped instead of having to guess about it.

@teresatrotter My card arrived today. We have no interest on the card for the first 14 months. Our mortgage interest is pretty high so we're going to buy groceries with the card for a couple of months and put that money onto the mortgage. It will save us money in the long run. I hope that made sense.

At least you found the problem and was able to fix it. So that had to be a good thing.
