your favourite antivirus program??

What's a good antivirus to use other than Norton? I've been using Norton for about 18 months now and I've had 2 virus infections that Norton wasn't able to get rid off. I don't remember how i got rid of the 1st one, but about 2 month's ago I got some virus that Norton pops a "Virus Alert" for [Backdoor.IRC.Aladinz.R] but can't get rid off. I tried removing the virus following the instructions on their site but nothing! I'm thinking of just reinstalling windows and deleting everything. Anyway, Norton subscription already expried a couple of weeks ago and I don't plan to renew it or reinstall it. The anti-virus that came w/ Yahoo! DSL didn't work for anything either, it just give virus warnings/alerts but can't remove... soooo... do you have any suggestions for any good virus protection and removal software out there? any positive experiences w/ certain antiviruses out there?

i use Avast Anti-virus now!! its amazing...its an intense scanner...that doesnt let the adwares and viruses even peek 2wards ur computer!! i had norton before...but my laptop started becoming slower n slower day by day! it always showed ' no virus,adware on your computer' every tym i performed a scan!! but when i loaded the Avast A-V...it detected 3 adwares...and that too in the windowz file ((it had managed to instal itself there!) imagine the damage tht cud hav happened!! nyway....after that i havnt even looked twice at nortan!! and im very proud of avast!!^_^

Hello. At the moment I do not you any Antivirus program. I use System Mechanic 6. Its a nice software. It cleans the pc and keeps it safe from malware, adware, viruses and also improves the performance of the computer system. It is a really neat software. I recommend you to try it. And also it has an inbuilt Antivirus software. Other than this Norton Antivirus is my favourite.

I always prefer Mcafee antivirus program. to me it is so much authentic

Norton is the best and the most popular. It works great.

I have used many antivirus software and some suites but as for me in this moment the best seems to be bitdefender antivirus.They have also a suite rom bitdefender which is very good too!

AVAST Antivirus. It has a light firewall that blocks intruder injections. And it has antispyware characteristic too. Best of all, its FREE.

About two years ago I used Norton Antivirus but now I don't use it anymore. I don't like it. It is too heavy for my system and Windows makes too much time to start up with Norton. Now I use BitDefender that is very light. I use it like antivirus, firewall, and antispam. Bye, bye!!
