When I go fishing, I like to fish for Bass, striper or any other game fish, fish that you have to use an artificial lure. I hardly ever use Bait, I consider it too boring. What kind of fish do you go after?

I love fishing not to particular about what kind of fish I catch tho. I just love the sport of it. We have a pond in back of our complex so I can go fishing whenever I want. Did alot of it over this past summer. the best catch was a snapping turtle:) The bait we use is fried pork chops or mcdonalds sauasage burritos..LOL Our fish are spoiled:)We plan to go out on the lake next season.

I'll bet the fish in your pond are so spoiled that they often invite their friends over for a few bites of chops & sausage. Thanks

I live in northern england and the fish stocks aren't very good around here. Lure fishing is becoming more popular on the southern coast of england for sea-bass, and of course there is fly fishing for trout on our reservoirs, but most of the fishing here uses lots of bait!! When sea fishing we use crabs, worms, mackrel, squid and mussels, and those who prefer coarse fishing (for non-edible fresh-water fish, mainly carp) use several pounds of ground bait to bring fish to an area then more baits on the hook. Personally, I don't like this method, as the 'record' fish that are caught have huge swollen bellies from all the 'free' food.

We also do some bait fishing when we go salt-water fishing too. Mostly we use mullet, shrimp or cut bait during the day. When we go night fishing we like to take our lights to shine into the water where we are fishing and use Artificial lures. What we catch mostly are sea bass, sand trout and reds. Your response was very interesting, detailed and since you were the first one responding to my discussion, I am giving you a “+” and a “br”. Thanks for your response

We use powerbait here for trout. It is made bt berkeley I think. It is like neon colour putty that stinks! There are many colours and some have glitter in it. It's like play-doh that kids have. It is often used for rainbow trout on UK reservoirs, but I think this is because they are all farmed fish and like zombies they eat anything.
