What u do when your Desktop PC Crashes / Fails ?

(1) Call the PC Vendor. (2) Install / Overwrite the O/s myself. (3) Try to repair with the help of My Friend. Iam working in IT Department and usally keep all the copies of setup/installation softwares at home. I take regular backup of my data which is around 80mb. It is always better to keep setup copies of the software which are required to make the Desktop run. What is your comment.
