I dont know Japanese. You wanna learn for any job or simply fun? I think these days itmakes more sense to learn chinese especially in united states. All these depends on who is a competitor and all.

actually i wanna learn it 4 da fun! japanese is a very interesting language with all those pictpographical symbols!...n i love doin interesting things!!!

I only speak a little... if you're learning to read it, there's a freeware at http://www.keyup.net called Kopengin. can practice your hiragana or katakana alphabets. needs Windows XP, DirectX 9.0c.

Neither do I but the signs seem very difficult for me. It would take me years to learn it (at least years ;-) )

i dont know Japanese, but i will learn this language if i can find a japanese teacher. I have heard that its very hard to learn japanese. Anyways i am happy with English atm :)
