Helping People

I have been spendingtime with my sister who recently lost her husband. She just needs people around her to support her through her loss. Nothing I can do or say, just be here to fill some of the void. It has been very eye opening.

Sure. I used to volunteer for the Children's Aid Society where they placed me in a group home setting which consisted of mentally and physically handicapped children and adults. It really felt good helping out over there, the help was really needed! I felt sorry for the mother of the group home, her house was a disaster area because she didn't have the time to maintin it...she was far to busy caregiving and so any help she could get was appreciated by her.
